Growing up in a Latino family, Joe had to rely on his own abilities as his parents did not own any large factories or businesses. His passion for music was greatly influenced by groups like "Zulu Nation," "Theodore," "Funky 4+1," and "Furious Five."
As he grew older, Fat Joe began to make attempts to pursue a career in music.
His plan to conquer the minds of millions of teenagers with his musical talents started with his involvement as a graffiti artist in the group "TATS Cru." Later, he joined the dance group "Breakers Revenge," where rap was the primary focus.
However, he did not achieve the desired success in dancing and decided to become a professional musician.
